Australasian Foundation for Plastic Surgery Limited (the Foundation) is a not-for-profit organisation that supports quality health outcomes for everyone involved with Plastic Surgery. Its mission is to increase the body of medical knowledge through research and training by providing:
An environment that fosters innovation e.g. development of the world’s best practice Breast Device Registry in partnership with Monash University’s Department of Epidemiology and Preventative Medicine (Melbourne)
Skills for Excellence Program that delivers education and training to a wide range of healthcare practitioners e.g. Microsurgery Workshops, Cadaver Workshops and Suturing Workshops
Rural and Remote Outreach to a wide range of health care providers
Research grants and awards
Readily accessible and accurate information on Plastic Surgery to all patients
The Foundation identifies strategic opportunities to advance its mission, and collaborates with partners with shared values to develop its programs. Programs must be targeted, innovative and sustainable.
